Announcing Ignite Brisbane 2

On the 9th of September, 2010 “The Edge” Digital Culture Centre will play host to Ignite Brisbane No. 2.

Ignite Brisbane is a Free community event, but you must Register to attend.

The Ignite Brisbane team have been working with The Edge, Griffith University School of Design, the crew at omniEffect and a host of other sponsors and supporters to bring Ignite to Brisbane for a second time in 2010.

Ignite is a event held in over 100 cities worldwide. At the events Ignite presenters share their personal and professional passions, using 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds for a total of just five minutes.

The Edge is an initiative of the State Library of Queensland, sitting alongside the library’s other programs and continuing its growth as a cultural and knowledge destination.

Talks can be about anything – the best Ignite presentations come from people who are passionate about their subject, and eager to share it with the rest of us.

Ignite Brisbane – An Update

Plans for Ignite Brisbane are progressing well, but seats are all full, but don’t despair, we have a waiting list, so please, if you would like to come to Ignite Brisbane on the 4th of March 2010, register your interest at our EventBrite http://ignitebrisbane.eventbrite.com registration page and we’ll let you know a few days before the event if can find room for you.

This is our first Ignite in Brisbane, so seats are limited, if we are unable to get you a spot for March 2010, we promise to make room for you at our next event, which we hope to hold later in 2010.

I’m happy to announce we have several confirmed speakers and some new sponsors, and we’ll have more information soon.

Ignite Brisbane Announcement

If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds?

That’s right, Ignite Brisbane will host it’s first Event on Thursday the 4th of March 2010 as part of Global Ignite Week.

Ignite Brisbane is a community talks event where each Speaker has 20 slides and 15 seconds per slide to share knowledge from technical, business and creative industries surrounding Information and Communication Technologies.

Griffith University Queensland College of Art at South Bank will be the primary Venue for the first Ignite in Brisbane.

Come along to meet new people, fill your minds with knowledge and just have a good time.

Global Ignite Week coming to Brisbane

Yes, you heard it right, Brisbane will kick off it’s first Ignite event for Global Ignite Week 2010.
